The Washington International holds the distinction of being the last of the classic, major metropolitan indoor horse shows and the pinnacle of the equestrian calendar. Though staging a horse show in an urban setting like Washington, DC, creates challenges and logistical complexities, it's very location in the heart of the nation's capital gives it an atmosphere of unparalleled excitement for riders and spectators alike.
 
WIHS counts on the generous contributions of corporations and individuals to be able to offer an event where the finest horses and riders compete, while also serving as a proving ground for young, upcoming riders who one day may represent the U.S. in international competition, including Olympic Games. The WIHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
