This fall, the Washington International Horse Show will
celebrate its 50th Anniversary. This is a time both to
commemorate the history of this great horse show and to
chart a course for its future. Read more.
Looking Back: At the 1968 Washington International Horse Show, General William C. Westmoreland, Army
Chief of Staff, joined Mr. Austin Kiplinger to present the President of the United States
Perpetual Cup to Jared Brinsmade, 21, of Bethany, Conn., winner of the President's Cup
Grand Prix. Brinsmade, a member of the USET, rode Triple Crown, then on loan to the USET
by Sam Lehrman.
