Barn Night is a favorite with local young riders who attend in groups and vie for prizes based on best group spirit, best essay, largest group, etc. Groups walk the course with grand prix riders after the Gambler's Choice show jumping competition, and get autographs, loads of prizes and t-shirts.

Check back as the WIHS adds information about some purchasing tickets and great contests for the 50th anniversary of the Washington International Horse Show, taking place from October 21 – 26, 2008.

Barns must complete the Barn Night Entry Form to be eligible.

The Grand Champion Barn title was awarded to Devaux Farm from Philmont, VA for the highest number of participants, best spirit, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the evening. Devaux Farm took home a saddle cleaning stand provided by Georgetown Stable Outfitters.

During the evening, the highly coveted Kawasaki Mule was presented to Iron Bridge Hounds Pony Club from Woodbine, MD. Barns earned chances to win based on the number of their participants. One chance was entered into the drawing for every 10 participants.
