HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
The District of Columbia requires both a NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST within the past 12 months of the horse show and a ROUTINE HEALTH CERTIFICATE (within 30 days) for horses crossing into the District. Both the NEGATIVE COGGINS and ROUTINE HEALTH CERTIFICATE must be presented to the show secretary upon arrival. An official from the District Board of Health will be present to inspect all documents. |

Welcome Exhibitors!
The 2011 WIHS Prize List is posted online. Entries closed Sept. 6, 2011. Acceptance letters were sent Sept. 16-17 by the method you requested (email or mail). Check the WIHS qualifying lists for your status.
If you don't receive your acceptance package in a timely fashion, but your entry is on a WIHS qualifying list, email WIHSsecretary@aol.com.
Your completed acceptance form and payment must be postmarked by Thursday, Sept. 29, or faxed to 866-285-9496 with credit card information by 5:00 p.m., Sept. 29.

ENTRY PROCEDURE
Exhibitors first complete the WIHS official entry blank available in the prize list or online and submit with application fee by close of entries. From the pool of entries received, WIHS then will send acceptance letters to the exhibitors with the greatest number of points based on the points received from USEF. Exhibitors have a deadline in which to accept the invitation and pay the entry fees. If an exhibitor cannot attend the show, the next highest entry will be invited.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE FOR HORSES
All horses are required to come first to Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD, and then will be shipped to Verizon Center by our official shipper, Johnson Horse Transportation. The arrival/departure schedule for horses and ponies is based on the days that your entry is showing. This information will be available closer to the show.
STALLS
Beginning Monday, October 10, WIHS stabling personnel can be reached at 202-568-9863. If you would like layover stabling, please indicate so on the acceptance invoice. Advance reservations are necessary. Stall fees will not be pro-rated. No arrivals before October 16.
Layover stall – Week 1, October 16-22: $200 per stall
Layover stall – Week 2, October 23-30: $200 per stall
FEED & BEDDING
Prince George's Equestrian Center: Beginning Monday, October 10, WIHS stabling personnel can be reached at 202-568-9863 for feed and bedding orders.
Verizon Center: Beginning Friday October 22, WIHS stabling personnel can be reached at 843-269-4737 for feed and bedding orders. Please refer to acceptance documents for further information.
TRAILERS
Trailer parking will be provided at no charge at Prince George's Equestrian Center for exhibitors. No trailer parking will be allowed at Verizon Center.
CAMPER SPACE
Camper spaces will be available at Prince George's Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. Rate is $300/space per week. No arrival before October 16.
Camper Space – Week 1, October 16-22: $300 per space
Camper Space – Week 2, October 23-30: $300 per space
PARKING
We do not provide parking passes, but there is a garage under Verizon Center and a number of parking lots and garages nearby.
NUMBERS, WRISTBANDS and CREDENTIALS
All Access wristbands (3 per horse) and Regular wristbands will be distributed through the Stabling Office located in the trailer located at 6th & G Street at Verizon Center. Additional All Access wristbands @ $200 each may be ordered on the acceptance letter. Be sure to bring all necessary credentials as noted in the acceptance letter. Rider numbers will be distributed in the Horse Show Office located on the Event Level in Verizon Center.
